I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Clarens. Firstly, the location is perfect - it's right across the road from beautiful sandstone mountains in a quiet neighborhood, yet still within walking distance from the restaurants and shops in the main town. Secondly, the rooms were well-appointed and had great facilities, like underfloor heating in the bathroom and heated blankets. And lastly, the service was top-notch - the owners were very welcoming and helpful, making us feel right at home.
There wasn't a single thing that I could fault about this hotel. Everything was just perfect!

Our recent stay at Millpond House was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The picturesque garden filled with beautiful rose bushes added to the tranquil atmosphere. The room was well-equipped with a coffee/tea station, fridge, and cutlery/crockery. The underfloor heating and electric blankets were a great touch for the chilly nights. The proximity to the main town was convenient, and the view from the house was absolutely stunning. The value for money was outstanding compared to other accommodations in the area.

The location of this hotel is perfect, as it is within walking distance of the village center and all the amenities. You can easily explore Clarens and its surrounding areas. Additionally, the hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, away from the busy square. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with underfloor heating, big windows, and outside patios. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, with daily housekeeping and special touches like fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge. The breakfast offered is delicious, with a wide selection of options and bottomless coffee and juices. The communal lounge with a fireplace is a cozy spot to relax. the hotel offers a great experience for business travelers.
It would be even better if there were more amenities available, such as a gym or spa, to enhance the overall experience for guests.

We couldn't have asked for better value for our money at Millpond House. The room was impeccably designed and the location was breathtaking, with stunning views of the sandstone mountains. The staff treated us like royalty, going above and beyond to ensure our honeymoon was truly unforgettable.
Hotel breakfast could use a little more variety to make it even better.

We spent our New Year's Eve at this place and it was just perfect! We received two complementary glasses of champagne upon our arrival which made us feel welcomed. The location was great, with a stunning view of the mountains. We especially enjoyed sitting outside and admiring the sunset. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious and had all the necessary amenities.
The parking area was not entirely secure which made us a bit concerned about our car. Also, there were some furry pets on the premises which we were not informed about in advance.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
